You don’t have to relive the past to heal from it.

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps your brain and body release the emotional charge of past experiences — without having to talk through every detail.

Through gentle bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or sound), EMDR helps your nervous system process stuck memories, sensations, and beliefs so they no longer feel as raw or intrusive.

It’s not about forgetting what happened — it’s about no longer feeling hijacked by it.

EMDR at The Mending Space Therapy

My approach to EMDR is grounded in somatic awareness, attachment theory, and cultural responsiveness.

We move slowly, helping your body feel safe enough to do the work.
Each session integrates grounding, mindfulness, and parts work, so you leave not just emotionally lighter — but physically calmer.

Whether you’re working through trauma, burnout, or a sense of emotional “stuckness,” EMDR helps you reconnect with your body’s natural capacity for healing.

You don’t have to be in my office to experience the full benefits of EMDR therapy.
EMDR sessions virtually across Pennsylvania using RemoteEMDR, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform designed specifically for online EMDR.

RemoteEMDR allows you to engage in the same bilateral stimulation used in-person — through visual, auditory, or tactile cues — while staying grounded and supported in your own space.

Looking for more deeper, more focused treatment?

In addition to weekly EMDR sessions, I offer EMDR Intensives — extended sessions that allow us to complete deeper trauma processing in one to two immersive days.

This model is ideal if you:

  • Want to accelerate your healing process

  • Have a busy schedule or can’t commit to weekly sessions

  • Feel ready to focus on a specific trauma or life event

You’ll receive a personalized plan, pre- and post-session support, and integration tools designed to help your nervous system stay balanced throughout the process. EMDR Intensives are offered in-person, in our Jenkintown, PA office and online across Pennsylvania.
