Therapy for BIPOC Women

 

Therapist and client meet one-on-one for weekly or biweekly sessions. Individual therapy can be helpful in managing:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Life Transitions and Other Stressors

Mind Body Therapy

 

One-on-one sessions using talk therapy along with the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM). This treatment utilizes yoga postures, breathwork, chakra psychology, and meditation. Yoga therapy can also be a great complement to EMDR treatment.

EMDR Therapy

 
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is a specialized trauma treatment that works to desensitize the effect of traumatic memories and enhance coping skills. Many clients report experiencing quicker results than traditional talk therapy. EMDR can also be beneficial for treating anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Clients must be fully-assed by therapist to determine appropriateness for EMDR treatment. EMDR sessions are also offered in 2-hour or 3.5-hour(half-day) intensives. Intensives are a great way to work on clearing traumatic memories in a quicker, more effective way than weekly sessions.

Professional Development

 

I provide clinical supervision for both pre-licensed and licensed mental health professionals to:

  • Operate from a trauma-informed model

  • Understand how relational/family systems show up in treatment

  • Identify and apply family systems in their clinical work

  • Incorporate somatic practices in their clinical work
